I love both coffee and chocolate. They just go so well together, don't you think? So of course, chocolate covered coffee beans is something many of us love. The good thing is, you can easily make your own.

It's important to start with a high quality gourmet coffee bean. Quality is paramount when you are making chocolate coffee beans. Don't skimp on quality!

You will of course also need to use a quality chocolate. The best option here is to go to a gourmet chocolate store and find some of their best baking chocolate. The best and easiest way to melt your chocolate is to put the chocolate into a double boiler "device". You simply set up two pans. One of the pans fits into the other pan. You add water to the bottom pan, and the top pan will contain the chocolate you are melting. Now, bring forward your quality coffee beans and start dipping. After you pull the chocolate coffee bean out of the chocolate, put it on some wax paper to allow it to cool down. If you want, you can add some flavors to your chocolate. You can try adding some vanilla or hazelnut flavors, or perhaps some mint. Once you have found a good chocolate and a good bean, you are on a roll. Experiment with your favorite flavors, and you can't go wrong!

Amazon provides many good quality chocolate coffee beans. My favorite is the Dilettante Chocolates Espresso Beans. These are truly delicious and well worth the price.
